LIFE GROUPS It's not just about Sundays. There are a number of other opportunities to gather for fellowship, prayer and study throughout the week. There are groups for men, women, and all ages.
YOUTH GROUP We want the leaders and youth that God brings together to grow deeper in relationship with Christ and wide into the community through evangelism. We aim to do this through weekly youth group, through Sunday school, and by utilizing Christian resources.
MEN'S MINISTRIES Men of God doing God's work. The Men's Ministries at Vashon Island Community Church include the Men's Bible Study, a monthly breakfast or dinner before a teaching series - currently working through the "Commands of Christ", outreach to the community with work groups that lend a hand, tool, or truck and learning what it means to follow Christ, be a man of God, a husband and father.
WOMEN'S MINISTRIES The Women's Ministries at Vashon Island Community Church include the Ladies Bible Study, mom2mom - a group for all Vashon moms, a very talented group of quilters, coordinating the monthly all church Fellowship Potluck, retreats and more.
KIDS MINISTRIES Children are an integral part of the church family. There is a time for age appropriate teaching during Sunday School. They are always welcome to participate in the Worship Service with us; however, if you prefer, we have Children's Church and Nursery Ministry available. Children's Church is for ages Pre-school through 5th grade.
MISSIONS From the very beginning God's heart has been for the peoples, the ethne, of the world he created. His plan all along has been to bring us back into loving relationship with himself and others. The church isn't about a building, a place or a group of people from a certain county. It's a family made up of those God has gone to extraordinary lengths to bring into his own. But there are still billions who haven't been told they could be a part of that family...wouldn't you want to know?
